This massage is designed for individuals suffering from symptoms associated with repetitive motion disorders such as carpal tunnel syndrome. In the 60 minute sessions, the upper extremities and spine are addressed, but the hands, wrists and forearms are targeted. In the 30 minute sessions, only the hands, wrists, and forearms are targeted. Deep tissue work is combined with client participation to loosen and lengthen ligaments and tendons, specifically the Transverse Carpal Ligament, encouraging the free movement of the Median nerve responsible for Carpal Tunnel complications. Finally, a packet of educational material is explained and given to the guest outlining self massage techniques, stretching exercises, and other self-care tips such as proper ergonomics, rest, and ice. This is an adjunct therapy designed to compliment, not replace a doctor's treatment.
